The woke socialists propose taking down his name from above the high school’s entrance!

The socialist-commies want to erase his name from history, obliterating Arnold’s service as a major general in the Continental Army, and brigadier general in the British Loyalist Army.

Patriots, forward!

Arnold was clean-shaven, “no beardo.” The Dems shall not pass!

They shall not remove the general’s good name from America’s schools, edifices, or monuments.

Labeled a “traitor,” Arnold benignly changed his mind from being a loyal American officer to a loyal British officer during the Revolutionary War.

There were some very good people on both sides.

I appreciate loyalty!

King George III knew Arnold did not commit an act of treason … “I don’t see any reason why it would be,” adding, “I like the fact that he’s different.”

Traitor is such a harsh and judgmental term.

Who has not reasonably changed their mind, weighing both sides of an issue, or kicked a golf ball back onto the fairway?

The libs will throw out pathetic “facts” to prove their pathetic point.Arnold:

1. Broke his oath as an American officer.

2. Accepted a British military commission.

3. Raided Virginia and Connecticut.

4. Burnt New London and Groton.

5. Received a British annual salary of $472,000 and annual pension of $25,600 (2025 currency).

6. Accepted English compensation for his confiscated American property.

7. Retired with his family to London, England.

Talk about “piling on!” Who can survive a doxing like that?

Arnold had so many fine qualities going for him, born into a wealthy family, successful businessman, high IQ and married more than once.

Sounds like presidential material!

His second wife, Peggy Shippen, a British Loyalist’s daughter, participated in Arnold’s effort to surrender West Point. Rumor had it that Peggy asked Arnold, “I don’t really care, do you?” regarding Arnold’s allegiance to America.

Contemplating switching sides, Arnold lobbied to command West Point to weaken its defenses and surrender West Point to the English.

George Washington had confidence in Arnold’s loyalty until he didn’t.

These transactional agreements happen all the time in war. Transactional tit-for-tats will happen again in America, even in 2025 Washington, D.C.

The gods of war bless enterprising transactions, tariffs, and emoluments.

The Dems call it a “plot,” but that is fake news!

Modern historical precedents even justify Benedict Arnold!

Many fine patriot cities are renaming schools, streets, and edifices for Brig. Gen. Robert E. Lee even though “Marse Robert” fought against the United States for four whole years. Arnold only fought against his former colonies for one year, then retreated to London, over the “sea to a lake.”

Inexplicably, there is a John Champe High School in Virginia, honoring Sgt. John Champe who attempted to kidnap Benedict Arnold for “treason.”

Where is the justice in that?

If the current Department of War can round up and perfume the purged generals from the Civil War like Braxton Bragg, Stonewall Jackson, J.E.B. Stewart, Nathan Bedford Forrest, James Longstree, and George Picket and shine them up, rechristen them, and sew up their tattered reputations, why can’t the current commander-in-chief regild Arnold’s reputation?

A restorative gold-framed painting of Arnold in the Oval Office, a “beautiful” statue in the former “Rose Garden,” a dedicatory plaque in the new White House Ballroom, or interring his remains in Arlington National Cemetery will suffice.

Benedict Arnold … an American patriot who merely rebranded his constitutional “Duty, Honor, Country” for emoluments.

Fellow Patriots, reclaim Benedict Arnold’s reputation by renaming Benedict Arnold High School!
