DEAR EDITOR:

Again, we are faced with a mass shooting in our country. Texas is the target again. We, as a nation, must come to some common sense approach on how to control gun violence. Taking certain types of guns off the street is not the answer. We must take the person who pulls the trigger off the street, not the gun. How is this going to be possible? How do you identify individuals with mental issues? How do you spot the psychopath in a crowd? It’s impossible at best, but charging blindly into the dark is not the answer. Our law makers must come together with the NRA to find a sensible solution to this growing problem. The last thing we need is for vigilantes to walk our streets. It’s time to come to a pro-active approach instead of re-active.
