HONG KONG (AP) — Hong Kong ‘s first post-colonial leader, Tung Chee-hwa, who struggled to cope with an Asian financial crisis and growing protests for democracy in the early years under Chinese rule, has died at age 89. His office said in a statement that Tung passed away peacefully in the presence of his family members on Tuesday. Gas prices are 4 cents higher in northeast Ohio

Labor Day weekend travelers faced the highest gas prices ever for this time of year as the national average rose 6 cents over the past week to $4.15, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report on Tuesday. Continued volatility in the Strait of Hormuz has pushed crude oil prices over $90 per barrel. After a record-setting August, this past Labor Day weekend set a record at the pump.
