Thomas J. Schreiber 1951-2026

Thomas Schreiber

HUBBARD - Thomas J. Schreiber, 75, of Hubbard, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Born on Oct. 20, 1951, in Youngstown, Thomas was the son of the late Rollin and Helen Goldner Schreiber.

A proud graduate of Jackson Milton High School, he was an active athlete who played baseball, football and basketball.

Thomas spent 32 dedicated years working for Delphi Packard before retiring.

Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially sports. He played softball around the Valley for many years, but golf was his true passion. Whether playing in leagues with friends or alongside his wife, Gerri, he could usually be found on the course or watching a tournament.

Among his proudest golf milestones was attending a round at the 2010 Masters and making a hole in one at Old Avalon in Warren in August 2006. He passed his love of the game on to his children.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Geraldine Schreiber; his sons, Brian (Heather) Schreiber and Jeffrey (Melissa) Schreiber, and Michael (Krista) Mannion. He is also survived by his brother, Timm (Debbie) Schreiber, and eight grandchildren, who brought him joy and gave him so much to be proud of.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janet Efler.

Calling hours will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Ave., Struthers, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Thomas’s memory to a charity or cause of your choice.
