Nicholas Murdock 1987-2026

Nicholas Murdock

YOUNGSTOWN - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nicholas William Murdock announce his passing on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026, after a brief but hard-fought battle, surrounded by family and love, and under the wonderful care of the doctors and nurses of Mercy Health Medical Center.

Born May 13, 1987, he was a graduate of Canfield High School and Youngstown State University, with a major in business administration. He ran his own successful State Farm agency for many years.

He loved spending time on the golf course. At the family cabin he loved hunting, fishing and riding the minibike, these were some of his happiest times. As a Cleveland Browns fan, he always wanted to root for another team, but strong loyalty could never make him switch his allegiance -- and he loved the Buckeyes! He would be the first to cheer for the Scarlet and Gray. And can't forget the ‘Guins -- Go YSU!

He had a love for life and a deep love of his family. The time he spent with the ones he loved was the most important to him. He will be remembered as a loving uncle and godfather to Jack and Devyn and godfather to Sevasti; a treasured son to Eric Murdock and Kathy Poulakos Murdock; a loved fiancé and soulmate to Nicole Borovitcky; and the most amazing brother to Jocelynn and Jeff Maund, Erica and Dan Delehanty, and Christopher and Katie Murdock. He was loved by many aunts, uncles, friends and family. He was welcomed to heaven by his grandparents and greeted by so many of our family dogs.

Services will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown. Calling hours will begin at 10 a.m., with services to follow at 11 a.m.

Arrangements were trusted to Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home.
