AUSTINTOWN - Larry A. Vaughn, 77, of Austintown, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 27, 2026, at Austintown Healthcare Center.
Larry was born June 14, 1949, in Youngstown, a son of the late Dale L. and Mary Alice Thayer Vaughn Sr.
Larry graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1967 and received his degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University.
He worked at the former Wean United and then as a field service technician for Trek Industries, traveling to California and Chicago.
Larry was a member of Mineral Ridge Church of Christ and the Youngstown Maennerchor.
He looked forward to playing cards with his friends, especially poker and riding his Harley. He loved his cats and enjoyed bird-watching.
He leaves his daughter, Stephanie (Scott) Wilson of Austintown; two grandchildren, Matthew (Courtney) Wilson and Kylie Wilson; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Wilson Jr. and Lainey Wilson. He also leaves his niece, Marla (Don) Hiner of Hubbard; two nephews, Justin (Christine) Vaughn of Vienna and Jason (Debra) Vaughn of Brookfield; and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Vaughn Jr.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at the chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5400 Market St., Boardman.
