STRUTHERS -- Frances M. Martin, 85, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1941, in Youngstown, to Joseph and Theresa Sarisky Pavlich and was the second of five daughters. Frances graduated from Wilson High School and attended cosmetology school, becoming a beautician to work in the family beauty shop.
Frances met her future husband, Paul Martin, while still in high school. The couple married in May of 1961 and had three children, Mark, Jodi and Danielle. Her children were her priority and her joy, and later, her grandchildren, Mark, Anthony, and Piper, added new adventure and happiness to her life.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Jodi Pacella, son-in-law, Anthony Pacella; grandson, Mark Pacella; grandson, Anthony Pacella, his wife, Jaclyn (Jones) Pacella, and their dog, Winston, who made Frances smile with every visit; her daughter, Danielle Martin, wife, Mary Wargo, and their daughter, Piper Martin-Wargo, who will miss her "Nano" very much; her sisters, Lana Philips and Jo Yosten; several brothers-in-law; and dozens of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Finally, she leaves behind so many friends whom she cherished and who added so much to her life, especially during her widow years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark; husband, Paul; and two sisters, Barbara and Georgie.
Frances will always be remembered for her warmth, her kindness and her smile. Her family could not have asked for a better daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt or grandmother. We will miss her every single day, and we will keep her memory alive in all that we do.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
