MINERAL RIDGE -- Zephra T. Frye, 83, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at his son’s home in New Castle, Pa., surrounded by family.
He was born March 11, 1943, in Conneautville, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Treva Briggs Frye.
Zephra Frye married Dianne Strohmeyer on Feb. 2, 1981. Together they shared 45 years of marriage and wonderful memories. He worked as a labor foreman in the industrial construction industry for many years.
He enjoyed doing just about anything. He hunted, bowled and played softball. He even took up golfing. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 30 fulfilling years, reaching the title of state officer. However, his greatest joy was found in his family.
Zephra leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his children, Kim (Greg) Best, Michael (Bradene) Frye, Kelly (Phil) Nester, Kathy (Matt) May, Kris (Jamie) Petrich, Jeff Frye, Phillip (Lindsay) Frye, and Stephanie Frye; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Oletha Williams, Ramona Weaver and Frank Frye; and grandchild, Luke Frye.
In accordance with his wishes, no services will take place at this time.
