YOUNGTOWN - William J. Behanna Jr., 80, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026.
William was born on June 20, 1946, in Miami, Florida to William and Grace Behanna.
He graduated from Wilson High School in 1964 and went to work at Youngstown Sheet and Tube.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
Following his military service, he spent the next 36 years as an owner/operator, driving across the country and putting over one million miles on his Peterbilt.
William enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, having coffee with friends, and hosting dinners and parties. He loved spending time with family and friends.
William will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Beatrice "Dolly" Behanna; three sons, Anthony Behanna of Austintown, Michael Behanna of Youngstown and Thomas Joly Behanna of Poland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Behanna; and his brother, Nicholas Behanna.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman.
