YOUNGSTOWN -- Sharlene M. Boykin, 20, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2026.
She was born July 18, 2006, in Youngstown, a daughter of William Boykin Jr. and Melissa Green.
After graduating from Chaney High School in 2025, Sharlene went to work for Gateways for Better Living. Growing up, she was a member of St. Patrick Church.
She enjoyed shopping, going to parties and spending time with family and friends. Along with her parents, Mardell Dawson and Keisha Robinson, Sharlene leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ke'Mazi Rogers; grandparents, Willie Green, Evelyn Hudson and William Boykin Sr.; brothers, Ronald Green, Jawuan Tate, Christopher Rogers, Durrell Richardson Jr., William Boykin III and LeBron Boykin; sisters, Destani Boykin, Valiyah May, Dynasti Boykin, Jalynn Boykin, Diamone Boykin and Nakiea Boykin; and father of her son, Ke'Juan Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sharlene Lawson; and great-grandparents, Anna Lawson and Mattie Green, and Dorethea Hudson.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at New Life Church, 2250 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
