COPLEY -- Ruthann "Rudi" Demechko, 60, of Copley, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 5, 2026.
She was a collegiate softball athlete with degrees from Youngstown State and Robert Morris universities.
Rudi and her husband shared 35 beautiful years of marriage and loved family beach vacations. She fought metastatic breast cancer with unwavering faith, immense courage and positive spirit.
Rudi is survived by her husband, Mark Demechko; three daughters, Deanna Singer (husband Ryan), Sydney Demechko (fiance Chris) and Reggi Demechko (partner Ben); mother, Carole Pleskovic; sister, Laura (John) Thomas; sister, Donna Bard; brother, Bruce Pleskovic; sister, Sandy (Jason) Lane; brother, Matt Pleskovic; and many extended family members.
Rudi was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Pleskovic; and sister-in-law, Mel Pleskovic.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2026. A memorial service with a Celebration of Life luncheon will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, both at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St., Akron.
