Niki was married to her loving husband Dennis Kotevski, and they raised their two children Izabella and Luka, in Holland, Ohio.
Niki was born March 15, 1984, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to her parents, Peter and Mara Stamos of Campbell. Niki was the most amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and cat mom to Koko that has ever been. She always put her children and family above everything else. They were her #1 priority. Niki was the most beautiful daughter and ballerina that danced her way into our hearts and the hearts of all who knew her.
Niki Loved ballet, baseball, spooky movies and sunny beaches. She was a fantastic gourmet cook and loved entertaining and hosting holiday dinners. Halloween is her favorite holiday having annual parties and fun with her kids and friends. Niki was the ultimate cat mom to Koko. She saved many lives by offering shelter to her homeless feline friends.
Niki's fondest childhood memories are swimming everyday with her brother Stamati and eating blue crabs in Florida.
She was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and Youngstown State University. Niki completed the highest level of education, graduating at 24 years old with her Medical Doctorate degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. Completing multiple fellowships and internships, including research with a total face transplant team in Louisville, Kentucky. Her work has been published in multiple medical journals. Her colleagues have continuously commented on her brilliance in the field of pathology.

She was a professional ballerina by the age of 16, performing with multiple companies. Collaborating with the City Ballet of London, England, St. Petersburg Ballet of Russia, Dance Theater of Florida, as well as the Great Lakes Festival Ballet of Ohio. Her proudest moment was receiving a Fellowship from America's first Prima Ballerina Maria Tallchief, a Kennedy Center Honoree.
Her beauty was not only physical, but her beautiful heart was as big as the sky. Her infectious laugh and kindness were immeasurable. She always took that extra step to reach out to her patients, letting them know they were not alone. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories to all who knew her.
She was a 2002 Ohio Junior Miss and an America Junior Miss Preliminary winner. Her kindness was recognized by the AJM Foundation by being an advocate and hands-on volunteer for sickle cell anemia children. The children loved Niki's weekly visits, earning her the "BE YOUR BEST SELF AWARD."
Niki's children were her entire world; everything she did in life was for them. Izabella and Luka, her two angels. She has been fighting a courageous battle against stage four cancer for eight and a half years with only them in mind to give them a good childhood. She loved them dearly and was so proud of them!! We know they will continue her legacy and do great things in life in their mother's honor.
