GIRARD - Melody Cutter, 77, of Girard, passed away at home Monday, Oct. 12, 2026.
Melody was born on April 15, 1949, a daughter to the late Dwight and Paulene Clinton Wilkerson.
She was a lifelong Girard resident and graduated from Girard High School, Class of 1967.
She later retired from Kings Jewelry, where she completed a career marked by dedication and a love for the product and customers. She was known as a friend to all, and her kindness and warm connection with others left a lasting impression on anyone who knew her.
Melody found joy in the simple pleasures and memorable pastimes that brought happiness to her life. She enjoyed gambling trips and proudly accomplished her 7-star status. She was a devoted Elvis Presley fan and was known for baking amazing cookies, a pastime that brought comfort and delight to those around her.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Cutter, whom she married on May 31, 1969; her son, James Cutter and his wife, Aimee; her daughter, Cheri Linville; her sister, Shar; her brother, Dale "Butchie" Wilkerson and his wife, Cleo; her grandchildren, Carol, Jonathan, Kirsten, Julian and Regan; and her great-grandchild, Marley.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Brian Linville.
The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at Blackstone Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at noon.
Melody will be laid to rest in Girard City Cemetery.
