YOUNGSTOWN – Ronald Walker, of Youngstown, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, hard work and adventure.
Born on June 26, 1936, to Harrold and Pauline Harris Walker, Ronald lived a life marked by devotion to God, love for his family and a willingness to lend a helping hand to those around him.
On Sept. 10, 1972, Ronald married the love of his life, Helen Craig Walker. Together, they shared 54 years of marriage filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.
Ronald spent many dedicated years working as a steel technician at Warren Consolidated Industries. A hardworking and dependable man, he carried those same qualities into every aspect of his life. Yet, age never defined Ronald or diminished his adventurous spirit. He found joy in fishing, hunting, golfing, woodworking, gardening, fencing, and traveling. Two special family trips to Hawaii are remembered fondly. Whether enjoying the outdoors, working with his hands, or exploring new places, Ronald embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure.
Above all, Ronald was a man of God and a leader of men. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he spent many years as a loyal member of North Lima Mennonite Church, where he loved helping whenever he could. His commitment to his church and his desire to serve others reflected the values he carried out through his life. The Christian Motorcycle Association and the Austintown Senior Center also held special meaning for Ronald, providing opportunities for fellowship, friendship and connection with others.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Helen Walker; his son, Ronald (Janice) Walker Jr. of Marysville; his daughter, Regina Nardine of Kissimmee, Florida; his sister, Mary Fannin of Tallahassee, Florida; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends who will cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Toney.
The family will receive friends 10 to 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, OH 44452. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Adam Shank.
