CANTON, Georgia – Marilyn Kurty, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, in Canton, Georgia.
Marilyn, the daughter of Steven and Olga Rudy, was born on Sept. 6, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio.
She graduated from Chaney High School in 1954.
She was married for 60 years to Fred Kurty and lived in Austintown before moving to Yalaha, Florida, where they loved to fish and boat on Lake Harris and found a loving community of likeminded neighbors in Waterwood. Marilyn relocated to Georgia in January 2020.
She leaves a daughter, Deborah; a son, Fred Jr. (Danielle); and a grandson, Caylyn (Kristin).
There was a private service for the family.
Marilyn’s family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Arbor at BridgeMill of Canton, Georgia and the Trinity Hospice Care staff for their excellent support and care.
