YOUNGSTOWN -- Loretta Bares, 53, went to the Lord late Saturday night, Sept. 26, 2026.
Loretta was born on May 1, 1973, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Virginia Bliss and Elmer Bliss Sr. Loretta came to Ohio when she was little and grew up here.
She had graduated from Rayen High School, class of 1992, located in Youngstown.
Loretta enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching the Eagles play, and loved watching her "CSI" and "Law and Order," playing Monopoly Go and doing other random things to pass the time.
Loretta leaves behind her husband, William Bares, of 30 years. She had cherished her three children, Jason Book Jr., Lisa Book and Alex Bares. Loretta had come from a big family, leaving behind two sisters, Etta (Chuck) Collins and Tammy Bliss, and four brothers, Elmer Bliss Jr., Joseph Bliss Sr., Richard Bliss Sr., and Jeffery Bliss. She had many nieces and nephews and was also a grandmother, too.
Loretta will be reunited with her parents; her older brother, Alfred Bliss; her grandmother; her aunt; her cousin, Carol Cogan; and other cousins and others who will be waiting for her. May Loretta rest easy and watch over her loved ones.
Funeral services will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 3, 2026, at Schiavone Funeral Home, 1842 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, OH 44504.
