POLAND - Hilda Mae Weeks, 98, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Hilda was born on Feb. 7, 1928, in Poland Township, a daughter of the late Ervin and Dorcas A. Flickinger Crum.

Hilda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her free time, Hilda enjoyed making crafts, cooking, baking for family and friends, and reading.

A dedicated homemaker, Hilda also worked as a bookkeeper for Poland United Methodist Church, retiring in 2006.

She was a lifelong member of Poland United Methodist Church, where she was active in many aspects of church life. She was a member of the church bowling league and served as its secretary. She was always willing to volunteer in the church kitchen, helping with church dinners, and was a member of the quilting club and the United Methodist Women’s Association (UMWA).

Besides her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Dwight E. Weeks, whom she married on Sept. 20, 1945, and who passed away on Aug. 11, 2009; her daughter, Patricia Johnston; her brother, Curtis Crum; and her sister, Catherine Bowmaster.

Hilda is survived by her twin sons, Timothy Weeks and his wife, Kim of Melbourne, Florida, and Thomas Weeks and his wife, Tina of Almont, Michigan; and two grandchildren, Joseph Weeks of Almont, Michigan, and Christina Weeks of Winter Park, Florida.

Family and friends may call from 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland.

A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Turner officiating.

Burial will follow in Poland Riverside Cemetery.

The family would like to recognize and extend their special thanks to Crisi and Loni Rae and their families, Kim and her family, Mary Kay and her family, and Mike and Connie for the love, care and support they provided to Hilda and her family during this time.
