YOUNGSTOWN--Elaine Rose Linert, 81, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, at Hospice House, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1945, to her parents, James and Ethel Mae Booth Burns, in Youngstown. She graduated from Fitch High School in 1963.
Elaine married her husband, Stanley Linert, on May 8, 1965. Elaine was a homemaker, caring for her home and daughters. She loved playing cards and bingo and was a part of the senior citizens group at her local church.
Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Daniel) Petrello and Diane (Michael) Reedy, both of Youngstown; her sister, Kathleen (Daniel) Reagan of Diamond; her two brothers, Michael (Gennie) Burns of Great Falls, South Carolina, and Richard (Sandy) Burns of Austintown; and her two grandsons, Justin and Christopher Reedy.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley Linert, who passed away on Oct. 11, 2023; her brother, Dan Burns; her grandson, Timothy Huntley, and both of her parents.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Elaine with calling hours from 10 a.m. to noon and funeral services at noon, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, OH 44515.
