STRUTHERS -- William J. Horvath, 74, of Struthers, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
William was born on Oct. 5, 1951, in Youngstown, son of the late Leonard W. and Esther C. Herbolich Horvath.
William worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube for many years and later worked in the receiving department at Marc's.
He was a devoted Ohio State football fan and proudly supported the Buckeyes -- just don't dare say anything bad about them! He was also an avid NASCAR fan. In his spare time, William enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and baking. He especially cherished his morning coffee with his friend and neighbor, Inge Schmidt, a daily tradition that brought him much joy and companionship.
William is survived by his siblings, Robert Horvath, Leslie (James) Visnic and Edward (Sara) Horvath; his nieces and nephews, Robert Horvath, Adrienne Visnic and Nicholas Horvath; and his great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard W. and Esther C. Horvath; his uncle, Larry Herbolich; and sister-in-law, Kathy Horvath.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave., Struthers.
Funeral services will follow visitation at noon at the funeral home.
William will be laid to rest in St. John's Cemetery.
