POLAND TOWNSHIP -- Virginia Morris, 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at Maplecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born June 1, 1930, in Youngstown, daughter of John Syrianoudis and Constantina Pappas Syrianoudis.
Virginia worked as a sales clerk at King's Jewelry Store. She later was employed as a factory worker at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and was also self-employed, owning a local fashion boutique. Her favorite pastimes include attending local church bingos and dining out with family and friends.
Virginia was loved by her family and will be deeply missed for her sense of humor and laughter. Her memory will be cherished by her son, John (Cheryl) Morris of Poland Township; daughter, Lisa Morris of Canfield; grandson, Jordan Morris of Painesville; granddaughter, Mikayla Biscotti of Painesville; great-grandson, Izaiah Morris of Painesville; nephew, George Syrianoudis of Canfield; niece, Christine Pitlik of Poland Township; and niece, Dr. Kimber Zolnier of Girard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Constantina Syrianoudis; her husband, Louis Morris, whom she married June 25, 1961; brother, Thomas Syrianoudis; sister-in-law, Jackie Syrianoudis; brother, George Syrianoudis; and nephew, Tommy Syrianoudis.
Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, 3100 Canfield Road, with the funeral service directly following at 11 a.m.
The Morris family wishes to thank the staff of Maplecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation for its wonderful care and kindness while Virginia resided at their facility over the past several months. The Morris family also wishes to thank Ohio Living Hospice for their compassion and care.
