HUBBARD -- Theodore J. "Ted" DeVincent, age 97, of Hubbard, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley.
Theodore was born July 31, 1929, in Youngstown. He is the son of the late Emil and Mary DeVincent.
He was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard.
Ted graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1948 and then served in the United States Air Force, where he played in the Air Force band. He then was employed with the Youngstown Vindicator newspaper for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
Theodore will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family: his sons, Richard DeVincent of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Anthony (Melanie) Minniti of Drakes Branch, Virginia; his grandson, Ryan (Brooklyn) Minniti; and his great-grandson, Rowan Minniti.
He was preceded in death by his dear love, Mary Graziosi. He will also be deeply missed by the children of Mary: Rosemary (Jerry) McBurney of Girard, Jean (Stanley) Grabaskas of Hubbard, Phyllis (David) Freeman of Liberty Township, Lisa (Bob) Hartman of Cortland and Anne (Todd) Hover of Hubbard.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, with calling hours prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m., at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Theodore will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
