STRUTHERS -- Stanley Joseph "Tie" Floryjanski Jr., 94, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at Maple Crest Nursing Home.
Stanley is remembered by his courageousness, selflessness, kind heart, easygoing and humorous personality. He lived a life defined by family devotion, willingness to help others and optimism.
Stanley was born on May 21, 1932, in Struthers, a son of Stanley Sr. and Victoria Osikiewcz Floryjanski.
He graduated from Struthers High School in 1952. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Stanley married Patricia Baron Floryjanski on Oct. 5, 1957.
Stanley was a firefighter at Struthers Fire Department for 33 years and owner of Struthers Chair Rental for 20 years.
He was a member of three bowling leagues, the Elmton golf league for 25 years and St. Luke's golf league. Stanley was a skilled card player and member of "The 7 Card Studs" club. In his later life he was a bus driver for the Struthers senior citizens.
He was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish- St. Nicholas Church and served as a Eucharist minister.
Stan's hobbies included bowling, golfing, listening to polkas, and walking at Struthers track after retirement. He enjoyed meeting his buddies at the local Arby's, taking his grandchildren to Valley Golf Course for lessons, and traveling to countless swim meets to support his grandchildren. Stanley also helped at the St. Nick's festival for several years. Above all, he loved going to dinner, vacationing in Myrtle Beach with his children and grandchildren, and traveling with family and friends.
Stanley leaves his devoted wife of 69 years Patrica Floryjanski; children, Mark and Mary Jo Floryjanski, Vickie Klem, Rod Klem, and Janine and Lenny Ferro; five grandchildren, Zach, Luke (Joy), Rebekah (Mario), Melissa and Rachel (Casey); two great-grandchildren, Valentina and Eloise; sister, Helen Yaslik; sisters-in-law, Marsha Ambrozy and Joyce Leithauser; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stanley was reunited in heaven with his parents; three brothers-in-law, Alex Yaslik, John Ambrozy and Kurt Leithhauser; and grandson, Joseph Klem.
The family would like to thank all the home health aides, physical therapists and entire staff at Maplecrest Nursing Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the Christ our Savior Parish-St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers. Friends and family will meet directly at the church for Mass.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Struthers Fire Department, Mahoning County Rescue Mission and the Ursuline Sisters Mission/Beatitude House.
