Rosemarie Ruozzo 1934-2026

LOWELLVILLE -- Rosemarie Ruozzo, 92, of Lowellville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved dearly.

Rosemarie was born on Jan. 14, 1934, in Monongahela, Pa., to the late Foy and Margaret Valentino Burdette.

She retired from Maplecrest Nursing Home, where she worked as the head cook.

Rosemarie took great pride in her cooking, and she leaves behind many cherished recipes -- now giving her daughters plenty to argue over as they try to decide who makes them best. Above all, Rosemarie loved spending time with her family and her beloved fur babies.

She was a longtime, devoted member of Holy Rosary Church and the Ladies of Mount Carmel Society.

Rosemarie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Pete (Kathy), Nick (Jennifer), Nicolina (Randy), Mary (Mark), Louie (Kelly), Lisa and Rosanne. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sister, Maritoni (Bob). She will be deeply missed by her faithful fur babies, J.J. and her kitties, who were such a special part of her life.

In addition to her parents, Rosemarie was preceded in death by her sisters, and brother, Louis Sr., as well as her sons, Louis Jr. and Michael.

Rosemarie leaves behind a lifetime of memories, love, laughter, family traditions and, of course, recipes that will keep her memory alive for generations to come.

Services for Rosemarie will take place privately.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, Bessemer, Pa.
