CANFIELD -- Roger M. Rowbottom, 81, passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 26, 1945, in Warren, a son of the late D. Myron and Alice Rose Wyers Rowbottom.
Roger was a 1963 graduate of Canfield High School. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1963 until 1967. He married Alice Marie Fink on June 10, 1967. Together they shared many years of marriage and wonderful memories.
Prior to his retirement in 1999, Roger worked for General Motors in Lordstown for 32 years, holding several different positions.
His greatest joys were found in his family and helping others around him. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Boardman. Through the church he supported the food pantry and garden club.
Roger leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his children, Tony (Melissa) Rowbottom and Gina Koran; grandchildren, Coleman (Alycha) Rowbottom and Hannah (Zach Garrett) Rowbottom; great-grandchild, Leo; sister, Dorcas (Tom) Young; several nieces and nephews; and his companion of 15 years, Judy Farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice M. Rowbottom, and her brother, Samuel David Rowbottom.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, OH 44515.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Boardman.
