YOUNGSTOWN -- Joseph M. "Skip" Czap, 70, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026.
He was born May 25, 1956, in Youngstown, the son of Elizabeth Potopea Czap and William Czap.
He graduated from Boardman High School in 1974 and worked in construction for many years. Skip enjoyed motorcycles, loud music, neighborhood bars and spending time with friends. Skip lived life his own way, followed very few rules and never met a speed limit he couldn't debate.
He is survived by his children, Brittany Young (David Bolger), Joe Czap (Tara McClelland), Jason Czap (Melissa Czap) and Jeremy Panno; and his grandchildren, Angelina Nommay, Braylon Bolger, Cooper Czap, Jojo Czap, Anthony Czap, Zoie Czap, Alexis Czap and Aiden Czap. He is also survived by his brother, Bill (Robin) Czap; and his nieces and nephews.
Skip was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William Czap; and his grandson, Brady Bolger.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and remembered by those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family.
