HUBBARD -- John E. Hannon, 46, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1980, in Youngstown, the son of Matthew E. and Penny S. Betts Hannon.
John enlisted and served his country in the United States Marines.
He was a talented cook, starting his career at Bob Evans Restaurant in Boardman, then went to Barry Dyngles in Austintown, and recently the Globe Restaurant, located in Truck World in Hubbard.
John enjoyed archery, shooting pool, playing chess and checkers, and having a few beers with his buddies. He was a devoted father to his daughters and spent as much time with them as possible.
On Feb. 4, 2007, John married the love of his life, the former Rue Bugno, whom he leaves to cherish his memory; along with his daughters, Ayla Mae Giardullo Hannon and Kaira Idora Betts Hannon; mother, Penny Hannon; and sisters, Tricia Cessna and Stacie Hannon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew, who passed away in February.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 23, at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., officiated by Rev. M. Payne Warner.
He will be laid to rest in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
