STRUTHERS -- Jeanne M. Jessey, 83, of Struthers, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Jeanne was born on July 10, 1943, in San Francisco, California, to Paul and Ida Sterling Baker.
She was part of a military family and traveled throughout her life, including spending time in the Philippines and Japan. She served her country in the United States Army; it was there where she met her husband, Douglas.
Jeanne and Douglas were married on Sept. 23, 1963. They shared 46 years of marriage until Douglas' passing in 2009.
Jeanne worked for several years as a nurse aide at Maplecrest Nursing Home before retiring.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and spending time with her beloved animals, especially her dog, Missy. She cherished her family and was a loving mother, grandma, and old grandma.
She is survived by her daughters, Amy Manning of Struthers and Linda Clemens, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Sewickley Township, Pa.; granddaughter, Sarah Manning; and great-grandson, Jake Repasky.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Jessey; sister, Alice Baker; and son-in-law, James Manning.
A graveside service will be at noon Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at the chapel of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, 3900 Villa Marie Road. Lowellville, OH 44436.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
