CHAMPION - James A. "JW" Williams, 77, of Champion, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, at his home.
He was born May 28, 1949, in Hubbard, a son of George and J. Laverne Fair Williams.
He attended Youngstown State University.
JW, as he was affectionately known, was CFO at Performix Technologies and attended Grace Baptist Church in Champion. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em, going to the horse track, and golfing and was an avid fan of any Cleveland sports teams; they will always be "the Tribe."
JW's memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Reanee Williams of Champion, whom he married July 19, 2003; sister, Linda Ashton; daughter, Rochelle (Jeff) Stein; three sons, Ronald (January) Runtas, Christopher Williams, and Matthew Williams; and grandchildren, Tessa Stein, RJ Runtas, Riley Runtas, and Morgan Holley-Fry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James Ashton.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
