CANFIELD -- Timothy A. Pitzer, 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Born on June 16, 1954, in Youngstown, a son of the late Raymond and Ruth Oblinger Pitzer. Tim made Canfield his home.
Tim proudly served in the Navy, a calling that filled him with pride and a deep love for his country.
He enjoyed backyard BBQs, often filling the air with the delicious smells of hot dogs and peanut doughnuts.
Family was everything to Tim. He absolutely adored his grandchildren; each moment with them was a joy, and he reveled in their laughter and achievements.
Tim had a passion for politics.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Estelita Jean Rosales Pitzer, whom he married on March 16, 2023; his son, Mark (Julie) Pitzer of Canfield; along with stepchildren, John (Margaret) Berardi of Boardman and Anthony (Pamela) Berardi of Streetsboro; siblings, Bonnie Hutchison of Florida, Sandra Caldwell of Florida and Terry (Annie Ruth) Pitzer of Arkansas; grandchildren, Kyle (Katie), Alyssa, Emerson, Riley, Anthony (Alexus), Barry, Natalie, Kellen, Katelyn and Ethan; and little Kinsley, his great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Raeburn, and brothers-in-law, Terry Raeburn, James Hutchison and Bruce Caldwell.
A celebration of Tim's life is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
