CANFIELD -- Ruth Ann Hull, 87, of Canfield, passed away early Thursday morning, Aug. 6, 2026, at her residence.
She was born April 13, 1939, in Salem, a daughter of Donald C. and Louise C. Echard Baird.
Ruth was a 1957 graduate of Goshen High School and went on to attend the Hannah Mullins School of Nursing. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Salem City Hospital, and for Dr. Schreiber for a time, prior to her working with her family at White House Fruit Farm in Canfield.
She married Edward A. Hull on Dec. 3, 1960. Together they shared almost 60 years of marriage and many happy memories; Edward preceded Ruth in death on Oct. 5, 2020.
Ruth was a member of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church and she was an avid gardener. She treated anyone and everyone as a friend and had an open-door policy, where everyone was welcome for a visit or a meal. She was a kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by three children, Timothy (Sue) Hull of North Jackson, Kimberley (Charles) Sisco of Salem and Kay Ann (Joseph) Smith of Berlin Center. She also leaves behind a sister, Shirley Baird Hendrix; eight grandchildren, Clayton (Allison) Hull, Sierra Hull, Mikaela Sisco, Naquelle Jacobs, Karesia Sisco, Alexandria (Jacob) Hoover, Emily (David) Mendenhall and Levi (Jenna) Binsley-Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Isabella, Chase and Baylee.
Besides her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Hull; and a sister, Dona Jean Baird Hendrix.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at the Lane Funeral Home-Canfield Chapel, 65 N. Broad St., Canfield, with the Rev. Russ Libb officiating.
Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, and for one hour prior to services, from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Canfield Village Cemetery.
