Paul Dando 1958-2026

NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Paul Dando, 68, a man who cherished the simple things in life and spoke with God every day was called home on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026.

He was born on July 13, 1958, to Art and Dorothy Dando.

Paul enjoyed many adventures in his younger years, and we're sure his friends have plenty of stories and memories to share.

For more than 50 years, Paul worked as a meat cutter -- a career that became an important part of his life and one that he took great pride in.

Above all else, Paul's greatest love was his wife, Margaret "Teri" Dando, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brothers, Larry Dando and Robert "Bob" Dando.

Paul is survived by his sister, Helen DePinto; several nieces and nephews; his stepchildren, Scott (Jennifer) Larch and Heather Larch Gollan; and his three grandchildren.

Paul will be remembered for his simple way of life, his faith, his many adventures, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will live on in the stories told, the lives he touched, and the moments shared with those who loved him.

The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pa. The Memorial Service will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Richard Nero.

In lieu of flowers, do something kind for someone in need or for a family member, in honor of Paul.

So, raise your glass -- or your beer -- and celebrate Paul's life. Remember the good times, share a story, and celebrate the man he was.

Rest peacefully, Paul. You are home.
