Michele Speziale 1965-2026

STRUTHERS -- Michele Ann Speziale went peacefully to Heaven on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by the love of family and friends throughout this journey.

Michele was born on July 17, 1965, to Joseph and Margaret Shevetz Kollar. She was a lifelong resident of Struthers. She graduated from Struthers High School and Youngstown State University.

Michele married Frank Speziale on June 20, 1986, and they spent 40 years of marriage together. They welcomed a son, Frank Jr., and later daughter-in-law, Meredith, and grandson, Xander.

Michele worked for Sherwin Williams Buckeye Body and Paint for 40 years, managing the Sherwin Williams Automotive Store on Market Street in Youngstown, until her illness forced her to stop working.

In addition to her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and grandson, Michele is survived by her brothers, Joe (Carol Matteo) Kollar, and Steve (Lana) Kollar; brothers-in-law, John (Karen) Speziale and Carmen (Chrissy) Speziale; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her mother-in-law, Marie Giannini.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Boardman, followed by a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.

The family would like to thank the Hope Center Cancer Care doctors, nurses and especially Brittany, who made Michele feel very comfortable during her time there.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
