OAKLAND, Calif. -- Mark "Osta" Ostapiak, 48, formerly of Canfield, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Mark was born May 4, 1978, in Youngstown, a son of the late Peter and Sylvia Ostapiak. A 1996 graduate of Canfield High School, Mark later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he built a life centered around music, community and helping others.
Mark leaves his brother, Peter (Jennifer) Ostapiak of North Jackson; his sister, Tina (Robert) Rompf of Cuyahoga Falls; his nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends and bandmates.
A celebration of life will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at the Wick Recreation Center in Mill Creek Park, 1861 McCollum Road, Youngstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
