POLAND -- Mark Morocco, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born Nov. 8, 1959, in Youngstown, the son of Albert and Irma Morocco. He was a graduate of Poland Seminary High School in 1978. He attended Mahoning County Joint Vocational School, where he excelled in auto mechanics. Following graduation, he worked in the blast furnace at Republic Steel, then at Custom Tarpaulin until retirement.
Mark shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Donna Miketa Morocco; together they built a life centered on love, family and unwavering devotion. He was a proud father to his son, Mark Morocco, and his daughter, Nicole (Scott) Adair, and a loving grandfather to his cherished granddaughter, Nell Adair, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Along with his wife and children, Mark is survived by his five siblings, Susan (Gary) Zyznar, Albert (Loretta) Morocco, Rick (Darlene) Morocco, Joseph (Shelia) Morocco and James (Sharon) Morocco. Mark treasured his loved ones, leaving behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Mark was known for his generous heart, his remarkable talent for fixing just about anything and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever someone was in need. Whether it was a broken appliance, a home repair or a project that seemed impossible, family, friends and neighbors knew they could count on Mark. His skill and patience earned him the reputation of being the person everyone called when something needed to be fixed.
Outside of his many talents, Mark was a devoted and lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns. He celebrated every victory, endured every tough season with unwavering loyalty and proudly supported his team year after year.
Mark loved his Catholic faith and was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish.
Mark will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends, his strength in the face of adversity, and the kindness and warmth that touched so many lives. His courage, resilience, and unwavering spirit remained evident throughout his illness, inspiring those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at Holy Family Parish in Poland. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Mark's life and to honor the love, kindness and generosity he shared so freely with everyone he met.
Forever loved, forever remembered and forever missed.
