COLUMBIANA -- Karyn Martorana, 61, passed to her eternal reward Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Windsor House Memory Care Center in Columbiana, after an extended illness. Her burdens and anxiety have been lifted, and she is at rest, peaceful and joyful in the Lord.
She was born Oct. 6, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of Louis and Shirley Stewart Vitto.
She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ for 45 years. Sister Karyn had worked as a medical office manager and as a nanny. She had a great love for Christ and loved to have fellowship with the saints, family and friends at times when everyone could eat, share stories and have great joy together. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, gardening and hosting events. She was always especially interested and had a special place in her heart for our military veterans, our senior citizens and those that were underprivileged in any way. She will surely be missed by all.
Besides her husband, Wayne Martorana, whom she married March 22, 2015, she leaves her children, Alissa (Danny) Kalajdziovski of Detroit, Michigan, and Adam Romanski of Columbus; as well as a brother, Gregg Vitto of Detroit.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A service to celebrate Sister Karyn's life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ, 185 N. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, OH 44515. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
