BOARDMAN -- Jalen Nathaniel Devine, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His passing came far too soon, leaving behind a lifetime of love, memories and a hole in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jalen was born on Sept. 28, 2000, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Cheri Devine and Alan Davis.
He attended Boardman High School and MCCTC, where he earned his welding certificate. Jalen worked as a security guard and took pride in the work he did. Jalen was a young man who loved life and lived it with a happy heart. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle and was a proud member of the Dragon Masters Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed boxing, playing video games and skateboarding with his friend, Michael. Above all, Jalen will be remembered for his loving spirit, his happiness, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him.
Jalen had a way of making memories wherever he went. His smile, laughter, and genuine love for his family and friends will never be forgotten. Though his time here was much too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Cheri Devine; father, Alan Davis; sisters, Jordan Devine, Jacqueline Hardin, and Linkyn Davis; brothers, Tevin Jones and Kylan Davis; his maternal grandmother, Maxine Kuzan; his paternal grandmother, Christine Jones; uncles, Jason Kuzan, Jacob Kuzan, and Scott Honthy; aunt, Olivia Devine; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Aaliyah, Mya, and Isaac; along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Jalen was preceded in death by his uncles, James Kuzan Jr. and Jon Kuzan; grandfather, James "Poppa" Kuzan; his paternal grandfather, Earl Jones "Stompie"; cousins, Haley Kuzan and Adam Devine; and maternal great-grandmother, Corrine Devine.
"Gone far too soon, but never forgotten. Your life may have been short, but the love you gave was endless. Until we meet again, Jalen, ride free." Family and friends may call from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, at Kirila Funeral Home, 258 Poland Ave., Struthers.
A memorial service will take place following calling hours at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
