COLUMBIANA -- Dr. Hank Evan Markowitz, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1947, in Belle Harbor, Queens, New York, to parents Leon Z. Markowitz and Martha Pearl Goldman.
Hank was a loving and devoted husband and father. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant and held the title of historian. Dr. Markowitz took great pride in his career as a radiologist, and his kindness shone through in every facet of his care. He often shared his love of travel and adventure with friends and family, and enjoyed the outdoors and sports, playing golf, scuba diving, skiing and hiking.
Hank is survived by his wife, Maryann Cama, and his sons, Ethan Markowitz and Aaron Markowitz.
He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private service will be held with immediate family.
