NILES -- Christopher C. Carroll, 55, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
Christopher was born Nov. 17, 1970, in Pittsburgh, a son of John Carroll and Vivian Clower Carroll Luzar. He lived in the area most of his life.
He held various jobs throughout his lifetime and was most recently employed as a tradesman in the heating and air conditioning industry.
Chris enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and organized his own fantasy football league for many years.
Left to forever cherish Christopher's memory are his son, Joshua Phillip Carroll (fiancee, Taylor Geier) of Bridgeville, Pa.; his daughter, Emily Christine Carroll of Canonsburg, Pa.; his mother, Vivian Luzar, with whom he made his home; his sister, Susan DeMalio of Cadiz; nieces and nephews, Sarah DeMalio, Lindsay (Cody) Kaiser, Austin Ely, Christian Illig, Nicholas Luzar, Amy Johnson and Katie Marjerison; stepsiblings, Lori Bolen and Steve Luzar; and many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, John Carroll; his brother, John Carroll Jr.; and his stepfather, Steve Luzar.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Girard, with a funeral service at 3 p.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses or to the donor's favorite charity.
