HUBBARD -- Bill J. Shamblin, age 70, of Hubbard, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, with his family by his side at The Cleveland Clinic.
Bill was born Sept. 4, 1955, in Procious, W.Va., a son of Virgil "Bud" and Dessie Samples Shamblin.
He was a 1973 graduate of Hubbard High School.
For many years he was an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at U.S. Can, which became Ball Corporation, and later worked at CCL Container in Hermitage, retiring in 2017.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hubbard.
Bill was a member of Marconi Lodge and former fundraising chairman, and a former member of Hello Brothers.
Bill will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family: his wife, the former Diane L. Bayus, whom he married Oct. 21, 2005, and children, Ryan K. Shamblin (fiancee, Jason Williams), Lisa M. (Mike) Hermenski, Jason (Tracy) Martin and Lori Martin, all of Hubbard; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Debbie (Bob) Johnson of Hubbard.
Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Shamblin.
There will be a Memorial Service at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, with calling hours prior to the service from 2 to 3:45 p.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Bill will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
