POLAND -- Beverly Ann Colaneri Bisconti, 83, of Lowellville, died at home on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Beverly was born on Dec. 10, 1942, to Tony and Tootsie Luce Colaneri, also of Lowellville. She was raised alongside her brothers, George (Gina) and Ronnie (Jacci) Colaneri, who survive her, in a community full of aunts, uncles and cousins. She graduated from Lowellville High School in 1960 and married her high school sweetheart, Richard Bisconti, on May 11, 1963.
Beverly was preceded in death by Richard and is survived by their three daughters, Gina (Jack) Durkin, Lori (Ray) Carlson, and Toni Lynn (Lindsey) Bisconti; her grandchildren, Michael Romeo, Sarah (Erik) Johnson, Raymond (Alexis) Carlson, and Emily (Joe) Ohlin; and her nine great-grandchildren, Madison, Leah, Nora, Sammy, Tony, Logan, Benny, Eden, and Shay, all of whom loved their Gigi very much.
Beverly prided herself on being a stay-at-home mother while raising her girls, while also working part-time at Geno's. She later served as the office manager for Richard's health care companies, PrimeNet and R.A. Bisconti and Associates. After their retirement, she and Richard became snowbirds, spending part of each year in Bonita Springs, Florida. That lasted until their grandchildren began participating in school activities, which brought them back to full-time residency in the Mahoning Valley.
Beverly was a very active member of the Lowellville community, serving as a member of the Boosters, Crescendo Club, and Ladies Mount Carmel Society. In the summer of 1989, she created the Ladies Mount Carmel Bocce League, which is still going strong today. Her motivation was simple: "If the men get to have a league, we should have one too!"
She also loved traveling with her family, including many beach vacations, several cruises, and trips to Las Vegas. Her most recent cruise was especially meaningful because she and Richard were able to take their granddaughters to the Mediterranean.
Beverly was a member of several social and golf clubs and bocce and bowling leagues and was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Lowellville. In her heyday of overbooking herself, it was not unusual for her to golf 27 holes at Bedford Trails or the Lake Club and then head to the club to play three rounds of bocce. Her energy was matched only by her joy of living.
She was a lot of things to a lot of people, but being Grandma and then Gigi were the roles she valued most. She taught her daughters and granddaughters how to cook--and was certain that everyone knew it! She took great pride in her Italian-Catholic traditions and in her role as the matriarch of her family.
Beverly had an incredible life, full of family, love, travel, and blessings. After several years of pain management, she came to depend on her daughter-in-law, Lindsey, who cared for her two to three days a week. The family is deeply grateful to Lindsey for those endless hours of care and company and knows that Mom was happier and healthier because of them.
The family would also like to thank CareBuilders, who stepped in to provide 24-hour care whenever it was needed, as well as Jackie from Akeso Hospice Care, who was available around the clock with dedication, patience and compassion. We are also deeply grateful to our family, friends and community for their love, generosity and support.
Family and friends will be received from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, and again from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., Youngstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville, followed by a prayer service at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
