CANFIELD -- Audrey June Martin, 100, of Canfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Aug. 23, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 12, 1926, in Washingtonville, Ohio, a daughter of George and Anna Clunen Hall and had been a lifelong area resident. Her 100th birthday celebration included a parade and a proclamation declaring June 12, 2026, "Audrey June Martin Day," and afterward, nearly 100 family and friends gathered to celebrate her amazing life.
Audrey was a 1944 graduate of Leetonia High School. Shortly after her marriage she dedicated her life to her loving husband and to raising her seven children.
After their retirement, they enjoyed spending their winters in Las Vegas for many years. Audrey also enjoyed playing bingo and various games with her family. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan. Most importantly, she enjoyed singing and telling stories with her family.
Her husband of 69 years, Tony Martin, whom she married Aug. 2, 1947, passed away on Dec. 27, 2016.
Audrey had seven children, affectionately known as her "seven wonderful children," John (deceased) (Gaye) Martin of Niles, Mary Ann (Ed) Costello, Sandy (Danny) Martin, all of Boardman, Tony (Marijo) Martin of Westerville, Linda (Art) Saunders, Raymond (Kristine) Martin all of Canfield, and Jim (Kristi) Martin of Solon. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, Stacie, Nikki, Missy, Cliff, Eddie, Kristy, Mark, Joanna, Sunny, Adam, Marisa, Ross, Lexi, Ryan, Melanie, and Brooke; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Angela (Bob) Gilliland; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, her husband and her son, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, OH 44507, followed by her interment in Calvary Cemetery and a luncheon at the parish hall. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at the Lane Funeral Home, 65 North Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
