Tyler M. Opsitnik 2001-2026
YOUNGSTOWN — Tyler Michael Opsitnik passed away Saturday, June 6, 2026, unexpectedly, following a brief illness.
Tyler was born Jan. 24, 2001, in Youngstown, to Elizabeth Opsitnik.
He was a 2019 graduate of Chaney High School and Choffin CTC.
He enjoyed helping people with technology, such as cellphones, gaming computers and other electronic devices. His favorite hobbies included gaming with Minecraft and RoBlox.
Tyler was a gifted musician and could often be found playing the piano and keyboards. He was very fascinated with the weather, ultimately leading to his relationship with his best friend, Gabriel Nagle, of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Josie Opsitnik; and his buddy, Uncle Harry Potts.
He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Opsitnik; adoring little sister, Ashleigh Wales; caring grandparents, Kevin and Martha Feicht; devoted aunt, Peggy Potts; and maternal aunts, Ruth Feicht-Murphy and Samantha Feicht; maternal uncle, D. “Charlie” Feicht; and several cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Jessica Nagle, for always going above and beyond in caring for Tyler and treating him like family.
In lieu of flowers, individuals are asked to consider a memorial contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The official mailing address is: 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 25, 2026, with a memorial service immediately following, at Clemente Funeral Home in Struthers.
