LIBERTY — Sandra Jo Cammarata, 79, passed away peacefully Monday, July 6, 2026.
Sandy was born Aug. 1, 1946, in Youngstown, the daughter of Dorothy and Ralph Timmins.
She was a 1964 graduate of Liberty High School. Upon graduating, she worked at Packard Electric and later entered into the restaurant business, where she made many lifelong friends along the way. She later found employment with the Trumbull County Auditor’s Office, from where she ultimately retired.
Upon her retirement, Sandy and her husband, Russell, enjoyed traveling from time to time with their peers. She was a dedicated and true friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, particularly tending to her hanging baskets. She also loved to cook and hosted many Sunday dinners at her home.
Sandy loved her family. She was a proud grandmother, and this feeling grew even stronger upon the birth of her great-grandson, Ayden, in 2011.
She will be greatly missed but never forgotten for her smile, unwavering care, love and kindness.
Sandy remains forever in the hearts of her son, Scott (Denise) Verner; granddaughter, Lisa (Tom); great-grandson, Ayden; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; brother, Mark Timmins; and parents.
A funeral service for Sandy will take place at noon Friday, July 10, 2026, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
The family wishes to send a special heartfelt thanks to Victoria House Assisted Living and Harmony Hospice for their dedication, kindness and, most of all, treating Sandy as if she were their own family.
