AUSTINTOWN -- Robert Alan Bardo, 70, of Austintown, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 22, 1955, in Youngstown, to parents Robert and Helen Bardo.
He was a 1974 graduate of Jackson-Milton High School and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center.
Bob retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, maintenance department.
Married to Robyn Forney Bardo for 42 years, Bob was very patient, caring, loving and enjoyed spoiling her. Robyn always said "No one can take his place" and "I deeply miss you sweetie." He is sorely missed by his fur babies Cody and Dillon.
Bob loved to travel, take midnight drives, cruise vacations, weather, the band Rush, roads/bridges, eating out, watching movies, Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, and was a true Browns fan.
Preceded in death by father, Robert E. Bardo and mother, Helen Genetta Bardo, and nephew, Corey Bardo.
Besides Robyn, he will be forever missed by his sister, Linda (John) Duchnak of Niles; nephew and niece, Brian Duchnak (great nephews Nicholas and Joseph) and Amanda (Dustin) Lindsay; sister, Barbara (Richard) Balog of Spring Hill, Florida; and stepnephews and stepniece, Dwaine (Penni) Garansi, Ricky Balog and Suzanne Hoffman; brother, Michael (Kathy) Bardo of Richmond, Texas; nephew, Michael (Yiyeon); greatnephews Michael and Kevin; brothers-in-law, Richard (Leisa) Forney of Austintown and George Forney of Austintown; and nephew, Justin Long; cousin, Ronald E. Halmagyi of Youngstown, who was like a second brother; and many other family members and dear friends.
Celebration of Life to be announced in September 2026.
