Patrick E. Madden 1957-2026
CAMPBELL — Patrick Edward Madden, 68, of Campbell, departed this life Friday, July 17, 2026, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
He was born Nov. 16, 1957, in Youngstown, the son of John and Margaret Ferrance Madden.
Patrick was employed by Northern States Metal for 17 years as a welder-fitter before retiring in 2023.
He was a 1975 graduate of The Rayen School and attended Youngstown State University.
He was a member of St. Edward Church, and he enjoyed video games, NASCAR and football.
He served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer 3rd Class from December 1975 to November 1987, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Battle E. Award.
He married Deborah G. Gooden Madden on Oct. 19, 1984.
Besides his wife of Campbell, he leaves to mourn one son, Charles (Mary) Oliver II of Campbell; two daughters, Ms. Mandy Peters of Waldorf, Maryland, and Mrs. Bridget (Wesley) Madden-Wiland of Girard; one sister, Ms. Barbara Madden of Mountainview, California; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret F. Madden.
Private funeral services were held.
Arrangements of comfort were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Youngstown Funeral Home.
