Nancy L. Schulz 1942-2026
CANFIELD — Nancy L. Schulz, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, June 29, 2026.
Born June 20, 1942, she was a brilliant, independent and hardworking woman who lived life entirely on her own terms.
Nancy was a proud graduate of Youngstown State University, earning her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in 1980 with a dual major in accounting and psychology. That same year, she began her professional journey at Superior Printing in Niles. Starting as a receptionist, Nancy demonstrated immense talent and drive, successfully forging her way through a male-dominated industry to earn the title of head estimator. In 1990, she transitioned to a new opportunity at Custom Graphics in Solon. She dedicated nearly a decade to the company, ultimately retiring as the head of customer service in 1999 to devote herself full-time to her true passions.
Nancy’s greatest passion in life was gardening. Her beautiful, vibrant yard was widely admired by the community, often causing passersby to stop in their tracks just to admire her flowers and comment on her exceptional hard work and dedication.
She is survived by her three children, Brian (Kim) Beatty, Erin (Kevin) Kris and Darla (Donald) Hoffman, as well as Nancy Beatty, a deeply cherished part of the family. Nancy’s legacy also lives on through her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Aloysius “Bud” Schulz; her brother, Thomas; her sister, Suellen; and her former husband, Roger Beatty.
In accordance with her explicit wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Nancy lived life on her own terms, and she wouldn’t treat death any other way.
Professional arrangements were handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
