Mary Lou Morley 1926-2026

ALLIANCE -- Mary Lou Morley, 100, formerly of Collins Avenue in Austintown, passed away Saturday morning, July 25, 2026, at Aultman Alliance Hospital after a long and fulfilling life.

Mary Lou was born April 16, 1926, in Wellsville, a daughter of the late Vincent R. and Helen Hogenmiller Peachey, and came to the Youngstown area in the late 1940s.

She was a 1947 graduate of the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she cared for patients from 1947 to 1967. She later worked in the office of Dr. Alexander until her retirement in 1983.

Mary Lou was a longtime member of St. Blaise Parish-St. Joseph Church in Austintown and served as a board member of the Austintown AARP.

Her husband of 37 years, Charles M. Morley, whom she married May 14, 1949, passed away Sept. 24, 1986.

Mary Lou will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kindness, compassion and caring spirit will be remembered by the many lives she touched throughout her years as a nurse, friend and neighbor.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Austintown, where Mary Lou will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
