Mary Ann Capp-Behnke 1954-2026
AUSTINTOWN — Mary Ann Capp-Behnke, 71, passed away Friday afternoon, July 17, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Mary Ann was born Oct. 17, 1954, in Warren, a daughter of the late Michael Capp and Frances Apanasewicz Capp Rullie. Although she spent 16 years living in California, she was a longtime resident of the Mahoning Valley.
She was a 1973 graduate of Lordstown High School and worked in property management and pet care for many years.
Mary Ann enjoyed both playing and watching tennis, jogging, and had a lifelong love for animals. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family and friends.
Mary Ann leaves to forever cherish her memory her beloved husband, Anthony “Tony” Behnke, whom she married in 1999; her stepson, Michael (Jasmyn) Behnke of Brea, California; her sister, Christine Finch of Austintown; her niece, Carissa Finch (Tim) Pyles; her great-niece, Olivia; and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her two brothers, Michael Capp and Thomas Capp.
Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.
