Lois A. Greathouse 1939-2026

Lois was born Aug. 22, 1939, in Youngstown, a daughter of Paul E. and Dorothy J. Lindsay Zins.

She was a 1957 graduate of Liberty High School and attended Youngstown State University.

For 24 years, she worked in the clerical department at North Side Hospital, retiring in 1985.

Lois was a member of Hubbard Church of the Nazarene and the Prayer Warriors of the church.

She was an avid golfer and bowler.

Her husband, Richard L. Greathouse, whom she married Feb. 5, 1959, passed away May 13, 2024.

Lois will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her sons, Richard (Gina) Greathouse Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana and Paul (Jill) Greathouse of Hubbard; five grandchildren, Janine (Eric) Freire, Rebecca (Derek) Holman, Josh (Amanda) Greathouse, Taylor (Bill) Gaffney and Alex (Taylor) Greathouse; and nine great-grandchildren, Issac, Xavier, Hugo, Julianna, Parker, Trinity, Frankie, Grayson and Apollo.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Charles P. Zins; and sisters, Dorothy J. Butts and Janet M. Witherow.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
