YOUNGSTOWN -- Lawrence B. Olson, 87, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Born July 1, 1939, in Youngstown, Larry was a son of the late Richard C. and Eleanor Burnham Olson.
Larry was a 1957 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Throughout his career, Larry worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Automotive Sprinkler Company and later in sales for Cast Power Company.
Larry enjoyed an active and social life. He was a member of the Girard Eagles, the Maennerchor Club, the Lake Club and Noll Run Golf Club. He also spent countless hours at the Youngstown YMCA. An avid fisherman and golfer, Larry enjoyed spending time outdoors and visiting with his many friends.
Larry is survived by his sister, Gail Morse of Jacksonville; his stepson, Ronald Nigut of British Columbia; and several dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Agnes Nigut, who passed away in 1992; and his sister, Sandra Symmonds.
Military honors will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at Lake Park Cemetery, 1459 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown, OH 44502.
